Native Home:  The Green Tree Python is native to New Guinea, islands in Indonesia, and Cape York Peninsula in Australia.

Size:   Green Tree Pythons usually reache a total length of 5–6 ft, but large females may reach 6.6 ft. The size also varies depending on the region of origin.

Diet:  Green Tree Pythons diet consists mostly of small mammals, such as rodents, and sometimes reptiles, such as geckos and skinks.

Reproduction: The Green Tree Python is oviparous, laying up to 25 eggs per clutch. In captivity, eggs are incubated and protected by the female.

Lifespan: Green Tree Pythons can live up to 20 years while in the wild or approximately 35 years in captivity.
