is probably the most common species of tarantula available in American and European pet stores today

 Native Home: Chilean Rose Hair Tarantulas are from Chile. The species is also known found in Bolivia and Argentina.

Size:  Mature female Chilean Rose Hair Tarantulas will have a body length of up to 3 in and a leg span of about 6 in. While the male's body is smaller, the leg span remains the same.

Diet:  The Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula has a diverse diet, including grasshoppers, crickets, moths, beetles, cockroaches, mealworms, small lizards, and mammals.

Lifespan: Female Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula may live up to 20 years, but males have a much shorter life span.
