Admission, Hours & Location

We can't wait to see you at The Reptarium! Bring family and friends to see our collection of animal ambassadors - snakes, alligators, tortoises, lizards, geckos, and more!

Where is The Reptarium located?

The Reptarium is in Southeast Michigan, and the address is 45559 Van Dyke Ave, Utica MI 48317

Do children need to pay for General Admission at The Reptarium?

Since COVID-19, The Reptarium has made significant changes to ensure that our reptiles, staff, and guests are safe. We are now only allowing a limited number of guests inside per hour. AT THIS TIME CHILDREN UNDER 2 YEARS ARE FREE (GENERAL ADMISSION ONLY).

Do I need to pay for General Admission tickets beforehand online or can I purchase when I come to the zoo?

Because we only sell a limited number of tickets per hour, we do ask that customers pre-purchase their tickets online here.

If you are in the area and would like to visit, you are always welcome to knock at the door or stand in the check-in line and ask a staff member if there are any additional spaces available for that or a later time-slot.

I'm getting ready to purchase tickets online. What do my general admission tickets include, and should I buy more than one time-slot?

Each general admission ticket includes 60 minutes to explore and browse the zoo. You can interact and hold a variety of reptiles and other animal ambassadors. We have staff stationed thru the zoo who are happy to answer any questions about our animal ambassadors and assist you with interacting with them.

If you are looking to add on reptile feedings and the fish spa besides holding a variety of reptiles, we would suggest purchasing a second time-slot. You will plenty of time to do all of your activities without feeling rushed.

For now, you still need to purchase the reptile feedings at the gift shop area. They range from $5-$10, and the list of available reptile feedings is at the gift shop. Example feedings are (tortoise, alligator, turtle, etc.)

I just purchased my tickets; how do I check in once I arrive at the zoo?

Once you have placed your order online, you will receive an email confirmation. Your tickets will automatically be under the name on your order. You will not need a physical ticket to check-in.

Once you arrive at The Reptarium, please feel free to park in the front of our building or the parking lot behind the Marathon gas station. Please refrain from parking in the private lot off of Hahn street as that is not public parking. The Reptarium is warm to keep our animal ambassadors healthy, and you may wish to leave your jacket in your car. Feel free to bring in water or purchase water at Marathon gas station (be sure to say a big hello to Bill and Sally).

Please come to the front of our building a couple of minutes before your time-slot starts. Please cue in front of the middle doors. A staff member will check you in outside by asking for the name on your order and provide you with your wristband.

Once we enter the zoo, what should we do?

Once you are check-in and enter the zoo, please feel free to browse the zoo in whichever aisle you would like to start in. If you are interested in holding and interacting with any of our animal ambassadors, please feel free to ask any of our staff members. Our staff will have Reptarium t-shirts on with bright green lanyards.

Do you have questions about any of our animal ambassadors? Feel free to ask our staff any questions that you have. We not only want your visit to be interactive but educational as well. Each staff member is familiar with the information and care of our reptiles.

What if I want to add a fish spa, reptile feeding, or souvenir photo once I arrive at the zoo?

Once you come inside the zoo, feel free to turn right and head over to the gift shop counter to purchase reptile feedings, fish spas, or a souvenir photo. Please do your fish spa or feeding at least 15 minutes before your time-slot ends.
